Today I bring you the updates from these last two months
. It is quite sad writing this considering it's my last update as the Fan Art Gallery Moderator
. So I'll do a recap of these two last months of Fan Art awesomeness to fresh your memory!
November ~
November was a month of changes! The most important one was the completion of the Fan Art Trifecta with the addition of the lovely ^
KasumiCR to our team on a day such as November 16th
she's been a great aid and help to both `
elicoronel16 and me
She's going to be your new GM for the new year to come, so take good care of her just like you did with Ely and me <33
On another note, November was also the month we launched our second official contest
"Turn back the wheel of time" which was open to all media that could contain Fan Art. The contest is closed now and the winners have been announced here
[link] Though I'm happy with the results overall I must admit I feel a little bit disappointed at the outcome of the visual art category since there were few the entries that were actually valid ones, I was expecting a higher participation, but well, at least the fan fiction category was full of jewels that I ADORED reading, really, you guys are so amazing
you definitely deserve more recognition for your works

Ely also made the second edition of her repeating fan art contest with the "moon" as theme for this month's contest

That was all for november, it was quite a busy month for us in a personal aspect and it showed in a low activity rate.
December ~
December and January also promise to be months of change, which will hopefully be for the better of FanArtDom. Ely and I will no longer be your Fan Art GMs, ^
KasumiCR and a mysterious pokemon yet to be revealed will take our places as fan art queens/kings to bring prosperity to the community and all the fan artists out there <33
This month was full of community involvement from our part, with project educate going on we had a lot of communication with you and we really worked hard to please you.
Project educate went on for a week but it felt like a full month! We explained each gallery separately and all the difficulties newbies come across when they first enter the Fan Art Universe.
Project educate went from December 5th till December 11th

December 12th was the deadline for the Turn back the wheel of time contest! As mentioned above, winners have already been announced

And last but not least, Ely and I would love to thank you once again for all the support you've given us this year, the change wasn't easy for anyone considering Juli had been the loveliest of GMs for two years and everyone was happy with her, no one expected such a drastic change to happen without prior notice, not even I expected it, but I was overwhelmed to see how heartwarming your welcoming arms were towards me and then towards Ely. It was one of the best experiences in my life and I'm glad I was able to fulfill my dreams and have such a great turnout with you. I believe I did my best as your GM and even though I could have given more than I did in some aspects, especially considering the lack of attention Fan Fiction writters suffer, I tried to ease part of it by organizing contests for them to join and feel noticed, not sure if it was good enough, but I hope these little steps I gave will encourage the new GMs to step even further to bring this gallery and this community of lovely and inspiring artists to the spotlight.
I have faith that the future GMs that take our places will do their best to keep the gallery active and alive, to do their best to satisfy your needs and make you feel close to them and see them as a helping hand you can reach out to whenever you need them to. I hope you felt this with us since we always were willing to help
Ahh it's getting too long and melodramatic, so I'll stop here <33 Here goes to a great and rewarding new year and new Fan Art Age! We might see each other again next year if Danie let's me back in the team ;D haha

I obviously don't mind people leaving after they've gotten worn out, but forced rotation just seems like needless change to me...
