Hello everyone!!

Today I want to plead you to help out my friend hyenacub. He's gone through a lot of hardships in his life and even more recently. To the point where he's at risk of losing his home, he's dealing with severe physical and mental problems and is having a tough time trying to find a job to sustain himself.

Please, help Saber by donating anything you can. And if you can't donate, please help spread the word! Saber has been working very hard for many years to make deviantART a better place. He helped me when I was still a Community Volunteer and kept helping out in #FanArtClassroom, fostering fanartists and art enthusiasts alike! It's time to pay it forward and help him through these dark times for him!

For those who don't know me, my name is Saber.  I am a 39 (nearly 40) year old man.  I was born in Phoenix, Arizona as a little girl...and moved to Nebraska when my dad's job transferred him, then laid everyone off.  It wasn't that long after that I realized I was transgender...and was lucky enough to have a supportive family.

Dad passed away seven years ago, and for a long time it was just my mom and me.  I have several mental problems and a few physical ones, problems that make it difficult to even leave my house sometimes.  But Mom always took care of me, and I took care of the house and anything else she needed me to do.  She was the number one most important person in my life.  She kept me sane...as sane as I could get.

I lost her to cancer in December, and it's devastated me.   No day goes by when I don't wish she was still beside me.  I live with my two cats and Mom's one cat, who has a lot of health issues.  But my cats have kept me from doing something stupid...if I lost them, I don't know what I'd do.

Since she's passed I have been trying to get SS disability, which seems to be impossible for people like me--it's easy to think that they don't really care if we live or not.  I've also been trying to find a job I can handle, with little luck.  It's come down tho this...begging for help.

I need to pay my rent and utitilities, and have run out of money.  I have SNAP benefits, and so won't go hungry (at least not yet), but I might lose damn near everything else if I can't figure something out.

My adopted sister helps me, in fact she owns the duplex we both live in, but there's a chance we might lose it.  We've been so happy here...and she in particular has spent hours and hours making her front yard into a gorgeous garden.  It'd kill us to lose it all.

Money will be used for rent and utilities, and to feed my cats.  I can't really say how grateful I am for anyone who donates, because there aren't words for it.  All I know is that I would love to work towards making this home paid for so I never have to worry about losing it.  But for now, keeping what I have is the most important thing.
