REMINDER Gallery Makeover Project JournalsGreetings Deviants!
As I have no doubt most of you have heard from $Moonbeam13's journal, a lot of the galleries here on DeviantART are having a makeover. This largely consists of merging and getting rid of categories, but please take a read of the original journal for more details.

I am sure a lot of you have seen these gallery makeover journals floating around already, but here is a definitive list of all the journals so far. Please note that not all galleries are on this list, more may be added later. Also some of these links may be updated in future, and we'll be sure to update the link here as neccessary.

Please comment on the appropriate journals for each area if you have an opinion as to how each gallery can be updated. Remember the more opinions the better so share this journal, and lets get as much of the community involved as we can!

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #2After a little debate with myself (I won!

), I've decide to change up the features that I generally put out every week. So, for a while at least, I plan on featuring Traditional and Non-Traditional work on alternating Tuesdays. This will keep it fresh for me and maybe open a few eyes to all the different kinds of artwork that is available while browsing the deviantArt galleries. The things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. It could be the difference between stagnating and that breakthrough every artist wants to find!

Project Educate: People and Portraits IntroductionPortrait or Portraiture Photography is about a person or a group of people arranged in a certain way to convey the mood, emotions and possibly even a story. In my opinion, one of the greatest advantages to the New Submission Process, are the thumbnail examples and descriptions that appear when you're selecting a category. It's no secret that we have misplaced deviations throughout the galleries and it's probably the most complained about topic I deal with on a daily basis. My team and I have been working hard to improve the descriptions and thumbnail examples for all of the galleries, and I'm happy

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #5Okay, so it's a day late. I have a great excuse though! The new "More Like This" is killing me, in a good way. I can start browsing Fractals, and a few clicks(3 hours) later I'm in Scratchboard. This isn't a bad thing at all, just not when I'm doing a feature of nontraditional work.
