Basic notions for drawing heads and faces
Welcome back everyone! Today I'm going to teach you the basics of drawing a face. Before I start, I want to clarify that this is the way I do it, but there are a thousand other methods that you can follow, make sure you understand the concepts and apply them the best you can, you don't have to stictly do it like I do, develop your own way and keep on learning!

Many artists suggest using circles to start sketching the head and the body but... I don't use them. I've never used them. I tried using them in the past and it only resulted in messed up lines and strange-looking faces and heads. So I dropped the circles. If you feel comfortable using them, I bow to you and I encourage you to keep using them, but I'm afraid you won't see any circles in my tutorial :giggle:

Here you just show what you do, but don't actually teach people how to do it
In order to directly find that shape you drew first, you need to know more about proportions, anatomy and perspective
This has nothing to do with the anime style
An idea could be to draw a realistic face with the different proportions marked, and to compare them with an anime face in front view, side view and 3/4
But again, there would be no reason to choose one specific anime style over another, so you should show at least 3 different style : shojo, shonen, and chibi for example

Now, I'm not saying you did trash, but I suggest you rename this tutorial as : "Tips I want to share for drawing an anime face" (for instance) or "How I draw anime face"
Putting that aside, you gave useful information about the process

I haven't read all the comments, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating something that has already been said.
I hope I didn't offend you.

Keep it up
